So You Think You Can Dance is hosted by Cat Deeley (picture above), with judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy. The show is full of surprises! Watch a wide range of dances from Ballroom’s Salsa, Quickstep and Jive to Street Style Hip-Hop, Krumping and Popping. All will amaze you, but only one will be a winner! The highly acclaimed Emmy-nominated reality TV show SYTYCD is a summer favorite for viewers. The show is created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe who brought you American Idol and many other favorites!
Here’s what Cat Deeley has to say about this exciting show.
“We like to celebrate people from all different races, religions, backgrounds, colors, creeds. That’s the whole idea of the show, is that anybody from any background at all with any training can come on the show, and as long as they’ve got the talent and passion and they’re prepared to work hard, and also show their personality, of course, they are more than welcome to be on the show. We’re looking for stars,”

How does it work? Producers will roam the country searching for dancers who will audition and display their skills and dazzle. Those whom judges find worthy talent will be invited to a call-back and have the golden opportunity of honing their craft as they work with top choreographers. During the call-back week, the judges will pick the SYTYCD Top 20 dancers who will continue in the competition as SYTYCD finalists.
Now it’s the viewers’ turn as the 20 finalists dance for votes. As dancers are eliminated, through a combination of judges scores and viewers’ votes we will eventually reach the Top 10 finalists. For those finalists, their fate is in the hands of the viewers entirely. After every performance show viewers will vote for their favorite dancers and a live show will reveal who stays and who goes.
Here are several interviews with host Cat Deeley and judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy.
The SYTYCD season 4 winner? Joshua Allen. After the season finale all of the Top 10 dancers went on the SYTCD tour which brought them to cities across America.
What can a winner expect? No guarantees, but plenty of opportunity, as host Cat Deeley explains.
“And if it’s not on another TV show, it could be that somebody like Mariah Carey rings up, or Avril Lavigne, and goes, ‘OK, we’d like you to come on tour.’ If we can elevate them to that position, they can go on to have a wonderful career after this.”
The journey So You Think You Can Dance season 5 auditions have concluded and week by week we will see more dancers being eliminated. Don’t miss the excitement!

Miley Cyrus Tour 2009

After a highly successful “Hannah Montana” film and soundtrack, Miley Cyrus is set to hit the road on a 45-city North American tour starting this fall. The Miley Cyrus money making machine will continue to roll in the dough!
In an effort to throw ticket scalpers for a loop, Ticketmaster is requiring paperless ticketing for the sale of the Miley Cyrus tour dates.
According to Billboard.com,
Ticketmaster is using the Cyrus tour to rollout its biggest experiment in paperless ticketing yet in an effort to limit ticket scalping. According to a press release, “All tickets will be sold exclusively through paperless ticket delivery which means fans will not receive a physical concert ticket for their entry into the event.”
So instead of the actual ticket in hand, concert goers will need to not only bring a credit card that they used to make the purchase, but they will also be required to show photo identification to the venue in order to get past the gates. All attendees as part of a group will be forced to enter the concerts together and ushers will hand out “seat locator slips.”

Cyrus’ tour will be sponsored by Walmart, quite fitting considering designer Max Azira and Cyrus will be launching a new apparel line in August that will be distributed and sold in Walmarts nationwide.

ANOTHER SACHA BARON COHEN LAWSUIT? BINGO!

Eminem may have been assaulted by Sascha Baron Cohen’s bare butt during Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards, but it looks like Cohen’s gay Austrian fashion reporter alter ego may have done some permanent damage.
Richelle Olson, the Executive Director of Desert Valley Charities, has sued Cohen, NBC Universal and others for unspecified damages claiming that the actor (as Bruno) “offensively touched, pushed and battered” her at a Bingo Hall in 2007, TMZ.com is reporting.
The two reportedly entangled after Olson tried to wrestle the mic away from “Bruno,” who was calling the numbers at a charity bingo game she ran in Palmdale, CA. The altercation consequently caused Olsen to fall to the ground.
Olson described Cohen, 37, as an “extreme, outrageous, offensive caricature of a gay man dressed in sexually revealing clothing with an Austrain accent” and alleges that after her “humiliation and embarrassment” was recorded, she began “sobbing uncontrollably,” lost consciousness, and then fell forward onto a “thinly covered concrete slab.”
Olson was diagnosed with “two brain bleeds” after passing out and hitting her head, and has been confined to a wheelchair and walker ever since.
‘UP’ SEEKS TO EXTEND PIXAR’S PERFECT RECORD

“Up” is Pixar’s 10th movie, and it’s got a lot to live up to. After all, the studio’s lowest-grossing movie made $162.8 million, and seven of the previous nine have surpassed $200 million! The studio’s chief, John Lasseter, believes “Up” is up to the task, because it fits the basic criteria the studio shoots for with every film they release. Ashlee Simpson Attacked Michelle Trachtenberg

Ashlee Simpson went ham sandwich crazy on her hubby’s ex girlfriend. While at the DJ Hero party on Monday night, the infamous lip synch-er lost her shiz and had to be restrained from cutting Michelle.
Some idiot sat Pete Wentz and Ashlee directly across from Michelle Trachtenberg. (Petey and Michelle used to bump super uglies.) Things started out ok as they all chatted civilly and Mrs. Wentz even shared a baby picture of Bronx.
Enter alcohol. Simpson hit the booze and started to get mouthy…and slutty according to source who dished to Perez Hilton.
“The crescendo of the night occurred when an increasingly loud and obnoxious Simpson began to give Wentz a lap dance. “She was staring directly at Michelle and starting hurling insults at her,” a source tells us. “She was grinding up on Pete like a stripper. It was actually pretty disgusting!”
Clearly out of control, Asslee screamed at Michelle, “I hope you know, the whole time you were dating Pete, I was f**king him!”
Michelle, being a classier ho, told Ashlee to sit down.
“I’ve never said bad things about you. I’m happy for you guys.”
This didn’t sit well with the drunken “singer” and she then got in Trachtenberg’s face. At this point Pete wasn’t doing anything about it and Mark Hoppus’ wife had to physically restrain the out of control beast.

Brandi Glanville Disses Leann Rimes

Brandi Glanville is Eddie Cibrian’s wife. You know, THE Eddie who was accused of having an affair with Leann Rimes during their filming of their lame Lifetime movie. But let me tell you, for the first time Brandi is speaking out…and what she has to say about Leann Rimes is NOT pretty. According to Brandi Glanville, Leann Rimes has an obsession with her husband.
Glanville claims that her man cut contact with the star in April but alleges that Rimes continues to pester him with “constant texting and calling” - even tracking him down at a Los Angeles basketball match two weeks after he changed his phone number, according to Us Weekly.Com. Oh oh!
Glanville tells Us Weekly.com, “LeAnn is a stalker. She refuses to leave us alone - it is shameful and scary. People are going to say it takes two to tango and I get that, but at some point LeAnn needs to stop asking him to dance. LeAnn is so desperate for fame she has left her self-respect in the gutter and doesn’t care who she hurts to get what she wants. She’s hurting my family and messing with the wrong mom. I’m a happy wife fighting for what I have.”
However a rep for Rimes has fired back, “Eddie and Brandi are both on the record on this and LeAnn has kept quiet, so what does that tell you about who is after fame and press?”
