Airing its last episode tonight, AWAKE is a complex psychological thriller about a police detective trying to cope with what appears to be a double life. Following a tragic car accident, he finds himself awake in two separate realities: one where his teen son died in the crash and his wife survived; and another where his wife died leaving he and his son to pick up the pieces. Despite working with psychiatrists in both worlds, he’s unable to distinguish which life is real and which is a dream. The cast includes JASON ISAACS, LAURA ALLEN, WILMER VALDERRAMA, CHERRY JONES, B.D. WONG and DYLAN MINNETTE.
Philip DeFranco wants to create the next news network, and he's doing it with SourceFed – a 4-month-old YouTube channel that's on the verge of hitting the 100 million view mark.
DeFranco and his SourceFed team shoot, produce, and upload five videos a day onto the channel. Each upload is a quick-hit, 2-3 minute video offering witty commentary on a relevant news item. "It's essentially news as it happens in consumable pieces," DeFranco described to us over the phone.
SourceFed is part of YouTube's big push for original content – meaning YouTube advanced DeFranco some cash to get his new channel started. So far, the SourceFed team consists of three on-air talent, three editors, and one producer. The team of seven will soon be upped to eight as DeFranco searches for another host to help push content on the weekends.
As for monetizing the show and making the advance money back, DeFranco isn't worried about that. DeFranco himself is an established YouTube star with his extremely popular Philip DeFranco Show, a 5-year-old YouTube channel that's garnered over 2 million subscribers and 885 million video views. His experience creating and monetizing content on YouTube is why the video sharing site approached him to start a new channel.
"They know that I know what to do to build a successful news show," DeFranco told us.
The SourceFed team produce short videos because that's where they see news going: shorter-form news pieces packed with as much information as possible. "Smaller pieces, 2-3 minutes are how people are going to consume everything. News spreads in 140 characters, that's our 2-3 minutes in video."
DeFranco's popularity on the web has certainly caught the eye of several news outlets. He told us that he has been approached by several news stations to host their online ventures. DeFranco has higher aspirations, though, as he aims to create his own version of a news outlet.
"It was really interesting, because there's always a part of me that goes -- is there anyone outside my audience who know I exist?... Taking a nice pay check now, it's not really what I'm going for. I really want to create the next news network."
With 100 million views in just four months, the Philip DeFranco-led SourceFed YouTube channel just might be on the right path to becoming the next big news network.

A graphic video of of Roy Horn—of Siegfried and Roy fame—allegedly groping, fondling and squeezing his male employees is currently being shopped around, according to TMZ.
Horn, 68, is the star of the former Las Vegas mainstay "Siegfried and Roy" show, which ended in 2003 after Horn was brutally mauled by one of the duo's many tigers.
While Horn has since been going through rehab to strengthen his left side, his right side is still very strong.
And apparently Horn's right side is powerful enough to grope the male physical therapists (all straight with families) helping him. The caregivers are now suing Horn in Nevada court for the alleged sexual assaults.
According to the sexperts over at TMZ, the video clearly shows Horn allegedly doing the following:
- As a caretaker helps Roy to the bathroom, Horn shoves his hand into the man's butt crack in an aggressive manner

- On another trip to the bathroom, Roy thrusts his rear end into the male caretaker's crotch

- In two clips, Roy grabs the genitals of two male caretakers

- Roy goes under the shirt of one caretaker and appears to tweak his nipples. The caretaker appears to writhe in pain

- It appears Roy gets frustrated with one of the caretakers and violently whips him with an oxygen tube

- Roy manhandles one of the caretakers and forcibly kisses him on the mouth

Unfortunately for Horn, this case isn't going to magically disappear.

Maybe Mad Men's "falling man" theme relates to its ratings—they're declining rapidly as the season progresses.
Last week, we chronicled how AMC's advertising competition show, The Pitch, had some awful ratings.
The low ratings prompted AMC to move The Pitch from its Monday time slot to Sundays, following Mad Men.
It's hard to say the move didn't work—viewership has doubled— but a new trend is emerging: Mad Men is struggling.
The most recent episode, which aired on Sunday, had just under two million viewers, or one-third fewer viewers than it had on March 25. (It's a 45 percent drop-off from the 3.535 million viewers Mad Men claimed during its two-hour premier in March.)
It should be noted Mad Men debuted with record ratings and is still beating last season's average. Although Netflix took credit for an added million viewers, i.e. the bulk of the difference between the record premiere and last season's average.
We've mentioned it a few times before, but advertising shows traditionally do not work.
Despite not having a single positive trend in ratings since the season began, Mad Men fares a lot better than The Pitch, which has failed to cross the 0.1 threshold from Nielsen since its debut. It's been described as an oversimplification, outdated, and phantasmagoricaly awful by critics.

Still in select theaters and available via VOD, the immensely entertaining GOD BLESS AMERICA is the latest dark treat from the always subversive former comic- turned- filmmaker BOBCAT GOLDTHWAIT. It’s part social satire and part loud, angry rant against the decline of social behavior. Written and directed by GOLDTHWAIT, the film stars JOEL MURRAY and TARA LYNNE BARR as a mismatched team of vigilantes traveling across the country on a mission to kill the people they feel are ruining American culture. Potshots are taken at several very familiar and recognizable targets that some may consider swings at low-hanging fruit but there’s a reason for  GOLDTHWAIT’S choices. During our recent interview, he explained how he chose who and what to focus on. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
