MGM has tapped the 'Valkyrie' actor to star in the reboot of John Sturges' 1960 movie, which centers on a group of American gunmen hired to protect a Mexican town from bandits.
‘Anchorman 2’ Unleashes Two Hilarious Official Teasers

While Ron Burgundy, Brian Fantana and Champion 'Champ' Kind promote their comeback in convincing ways, Brick Tamland makes things awkward with his clumsy look.
Paul Thomas Anderson's religious drama finally saw the light of day Monday as The Weinstein Company unveiled footage from the director’s mysterious film, "The Master," in addition to Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" and David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook," at a special presentation in Cannes.
“The Master,” which stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix, centers on a 1950's cult leader whose faith-based organization begins to catch on in America.
Reportedly cut by Anderson himself, the drama's first teaser (see below) focuses solely on drifter Freddie Sutton (Phoenix), a Naval officer whose sinister ways come into question by a superior officer. Phoenix's character eventually becomes the right-hand man of ‘The Master’ Lancaster Dodd (Hoffman) in the film.
Judging from the trailer, "The Master" represents another dark, psychological turn for Anderson, whose "There Will Be Blood" earned five Oscar nominations in 2007, including a Best Actor win for star Daniel Day Lewis.
"The Master" also reunites Anderson with "There Will Be Blood" composer Johnny Greenwood, of Radiohead.
Amy Adams and Laura Dern co-star in the pic, which Anderson has largely kept under wraps for three years. (Right: PTA recently provided a small, 65mm image of Hoffman preaching in a scene from 'The Master' to blog Cigarettes and Red Vines)
Hoffman’s character is rumored to be loosely based on Scientology founder Ron L. Hubbard.
“The Master,” produced by Anderson, JoAnne Sellar, John Lesher, Bill Pohlad and Megan Ellison, arrives Oct. 12.

By · CommentsLast night, Donald Trump crowned Arsenio Hall as the winner of Celebrity Apprentice 2012. The Celebrity Apprentice finale pitted Arsenio versus American Idol runner-up, Clay Aiken. All totaled, some $2 million dollars were raised over all for a variety of charities. Arsenio was playing for the Magic Johnson Foundation, an emotional effort following the recent death of one of Hall′s relatives to AIDS.

Normally, I have been covering the series closely, especially with all of the drama that took place this season. But the last couple of weeks have been difficult due to other programs I follow, such as Mad Men, Sherlock on Masterpiece Mystery and last week′s Survivor finale. Add to that my frank disappointment in the final selection of Arsenio and Clay as the two finalists. I would have preferred seeing a finale between Aubrey O′Day and Lisa Lampanelli. Even Aubrey versus Clay would have been better!
So this season reminds me of the infamous ′fixed-season′ when Joan Rivers was awarded the title over poker star Annie Duke. In that one, Trump favored Rivers since she is tight with Trump′s sister, who works for the same charity which Rivers was playing for. I think The Donald likes to give worn-out has-beens a second shot at the spotlight. Arsenio did not impress me at all during the course of the this year′s season, which leads me to suspect that there is something else at work here.
The bottom line is that I did not watch the last two episodes of the Celebrity Apprentice finale. Donald Trump naming Arsenio Hall the winner of Celebrity Apprentice 2012 shows once again how subjective he is. A better match up would have been Clay Aiken versus Aubrey O′Day, or Aubrey versus Lisa Lampanelli. So another crummy season ends to a series which has jumped the shark long ago.
