Airing tonight on Bravo, KATHY is a weekly one-hour pop-culture talk show hosted by two-time Emmy Award-winner KATHY GRIFFIN that has survived its first month and is now in its fifth week. Set your DVR’s for June 28, the confirmed start date for ANGER MANAGEMENT, the highly anticipated small-screen comeback of former TWO AND A HALF MEN star CHARLIE SHEEN. He’ll play “Charlie”, a non-traditional therapist specializing in anger management, with a successful private practice. Sharing the screen will be SELMA BLAIR, SHAWNEE SMITH, DANIELA BOBADILLA, MICHAEL ARDEN and NOUREEN DeWULF. FX president JOHN LANDGRAF has admitted that he picked-up the series based solely on a pitch and outlines of the first 15 episodes (something the network very seldom, if ever, does) and yesterday the network released the latest trailer.
ABC Announces New Dramas At SRO Upfront Presentation

Standing before a full house at New York’s Lincoln Center yesterday, ABC Entertainment honcho PAUL LEE announced that the network will be bringing six new dramas and four new sitcoms to the schedule in an effort to elevate out of its current third place spot in the ratings. We have to admit that if all the slated shows look as interesting as these two, higher ratings shouldn’t be a problem.

Opening in the No. 2 position on the weekend box office chart, DARK SHADOWS failed to live up to expectations with an estimated $28.8 M. Directed by TIM BURTON and starring JOHNNY DEPP, DARK SHADOWS might be an indication that these two need to change their m.o. in the future. But, at the press conference to promote the film, BURTON may have had a feeling about the opening box office when he admitted you can’t please everyone and said that he and his long-time collaborator just wanted to make the kind of movie they’d enjoy themselves.
